The Virtuoso School
*The Virtuoso School is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. We will only be accepting FOUR students, 6th grade and up, ages 11+.*
It is the mission of The Virtuoso School to provide students with a reset. So many students, now, dislike school or are struggling academically. It is our mission to reset the students with a LOVE for learning. This will be accomplished in a warm environment, at The Virtuoso Music Studios, in a small--only 4 students--class.
Academically, the focus will be Math, Language Arts, Healthy and Life Skills. Language Arts will include Reading Comprehension, Writing, Grammar, and Spelling.

The additional classes will include Group Counseling, Sewing, Life skill Crafts, Art, Cooking, and Creative Writing. Creative Writing will include a completed project at the end of the year, either a short book or audiobook of the student's hard work. Homework will consist of Reading a minimum of thirty minutes every night, encouraging a passion for reading.

Daily yoga and the 1-mile jog will foster healthy habits. Weekly group counseling will create a space where students can work through life's challenges, learn coping skills, while fostering supportive bonds between the students. After attending The Virtuoso School for one year, your student should be more empowered and have a positive outlook on life, so they can return to public school, Votech, or homeschooling with renewed vigor.

The Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM -1:30 PM. Students will arrive 9:15 to start at 9:30 sharp.
Daily:
9:30-9:50 Yoga
9:50-10:15 Group Discussion
10:15-11:00 MATH
11:00-12:00 Language Arts: 11:00-11:30 Group reading; 11:30-11:40 Reading Comprehension questions; 11:40-12:00 Journalling.
12:00- 12:45 1 Mile Run & lunch
12:45-1:15 ELECTIVE: Monday- Group Counseling; Tuesday: Sewing vs. Life Skill Craft; Wednesday: Art vs. Cooking; Thursday Creative Writing; Friday- MISC.
1:30 Pickup; Students are welcome to stay until 2:00 or 2:30 at The Virtuoso, but will not be supervised.​​​

Monthly field trips. Classes often held outside, weather-permitting. Students should wear sneakers and comfortable pants daily, so yoga and the 1-mile jog can easily be accomplished.
